Andrew Tyrrell - Musical Director

 

 

Andrew was appointed Musical Director of Trinity Singers in January 2015.

 

Andrew studied at Guildhall before joining Rambert Dance Company as principal percussionist. A commission from the company – premiered at the Edinburgh Festival – led to an increasing focus on composition in Andrew’s career. His works have been played on three continents and on radio & TV, and audiences for his music range from 5,000 at the Royal Albert Hall to 7 (and two cats) in Denmark.

 

In addition to his work with the Trinity Singers choir, Andrew is heavily involved in youth music in the region as a composer, conductor and teacher.
